Our zoo actually has maned wolves. I didn’t know about their smell at the time, and I came upon them as a group of young people were already at the exhibit. I truly thought they had just gotten baked in their car. I visited again a few weeks ago and realized that smell was coming from the wolves. Oof. Sorry guys! I wonder if you thought the same of me? 😂

a couple years ago 200 R$ bills started being made and circulated here in brazil and the animal featured on its face (all our bills have animals instead of people :D) is the maned wolf! I remember ppl complaining about it on twitter bc it looks so weird and lanky and then others had to come in and go ”no no no guys it’s *supposed* to look like that!”
